NHS Harperbury Hospital
Floormax designed, supplied and installed Rehau underfloor heating to a range of eleven new build bungalows covering an area of nearly 4000m2.
The bungalows provide specialist health care for people with mental health problems. The residential accommodation was provided by Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Trust in Harperbury.
Douglas Reed Associates Ltd specified Rehau underfloor heating, because the client's priority was to ensure a warm, comfortable and safe environment for the residents at the hospital. With no radiators, risk of injury to the patients from hot surfaces or hard edges is eliminated.
Rehau underfloor heating also met the NHS Trust's need for economy cost, low maintenance and reliability.
The Rehau underfloor heating system was installed using the Railfix which has been installed to BS EN 1264, the European standard for underfloor heating. All Rehau cross-linked polyethylene is manufactured to BS 7291 Class S and with BBA approval ensuring a top quality product for the installation.
